Art Workshops & courses
Mustepäiväkirjat is realized as a summer-long art excursion every Sunday from June to the end of August! The first workshop takes place at Kalajoen Plassi on June 9th from 14:00 to 16:00. Some workshops will be held in the Mustepäiväkirjat Facebook group. The group is still open, so click yourself in as a member right away! This year's theme for the workshops is 'Weather Diary'—how weather conditions affect you and your mood.
Let's record the day's feelings on paper and enjoy the spectrum of ink colors. Let's capture some color for the gray days! Mustepäiväkirjat is a paused moment just for you. You only bring yourself as you are in that moment. You get to tell, write, and paint what is most important right now. You create just the diary page you need today, as today requires. Nothing can go wrong. More workshops will be announced closer to the start date. REMEMBER TO REGISTER FOR LOCAL WORKSHOPS by email at contact@sannamariprittinen.com. There is a materials fee of €20 for local workshops. Otherwise, participation is free. Maximum 10 participants per workshop.

Ink diaries
In June 2024, the Mustepäiväkirja group restarts, also functioning as art hikes throughout the summer. In art hiking, walking is part of the artistic process and aesthetic experience. During each hike, we focus particularly on the experience of the location and weather phenomena, creating paintings and sculptures using natural materials.
Upcoming art hikes:
7th July: Ardales Lakes, Spain
21st July: Rautio, Kalajoki
28th July: Vattajanniemi, Lohtaja, Kokkola
There is a materials fee of €20 for the art hikes. Otherwise, participation is free.

In the summer of 2024, MeWeArt will be organizing mixed-media shadow workshops in the charming courtyard of Havula Manor. Guided by a community artist as well as lights and shadows, participants have the option to register in advance or simply show up on-site. The workshops are open to all ages, and participants can join at their convenience. Children under school age are welcome to participate with a guardian. A materials fee will be charged on-site based on usage. Additionally, we will be creating a few large community art pieces where you can paint without any extra charge. These community artworks will be further processed by Sanna-Mari Prittinen.
Shadow Workshops at Havula:
July 31st, from 13:00 to 15:00
August 1st, from 13:00 to 15:00

Emotional painting
In the Emotional Painting Workshop, we offer both speed and tranquility for your expression of colors and emotions. We aim for a beneficial process rather than the final result - the art is a bonus! You do not need to have previous painting experience. The workshop is best suited for those over 12 years old and adults who are eager to experiment.
The first emotional painting workshop of the summer focuses on mental landscapes and mixed-media experiments. We will paint on canvas and wood with watercolors, acrylics, and gouache, and try various drawing tools. You will also have the opportunity to create small details by engraving.
In the emotional painting workshop, you can choose either a canvas or wooden base (A4-A3) to work on. All you need to bring is an open mind. All necessary materials will be available on-site. We will also create a MeWeArt community art painting together. Welcome to enjoy colors and create together with us!
During the workshop, Diplomat Nutritional Therapist Hanna Huttunen will be visiting Tulikettu, where we will organize a delicious and healthy Flow picnic with her. The treats are included in the workshop price, but you also have the option to purchase a nutrient measurement from Hanna at a discounted price of 75 € (normal price 80 €) with a -10% discount on retests.
For more information, feel free to ask. If you want to secure a spot for the measurements, book your place in advance.

Tue 11.6. from 14:30 to 17:30
Participation in the workshop 20€/person (material fee)
You can also participate in the community art workshop for free.
The most stylish painting workshop of summer 2024 will take place on the second Thursday of August in Kalajoki, in the Havula courtyard.
You will be offered a taste journey into the world of wines, tea, and coffee, accompanied by savory and sweet flavor paths. We will paint with both the treats we taste and with acrylic paints. At the same time, you will also learn to stretch canvas onto wooden stretcher frames.
Welcome to a delicious and intuition-awakening painting journey in good company!
The workshop fee of 60 € includes materials for both painting and the taste journey to Italian and German wineries. This summer, we will also taste and paint with green and black organic tea, as well as dark and light coffee. For your artwork, you can aim for playful experimentation and living in the moment, or create a planned decorative element with the help of a color expert.
The workshop is suitable for all adults interested in creativity and self-discovery <3

Artist - teacher
Sannamari Prittinen
I have been working as an art teacher at every educational level, from institutes to universities, since 2001. Teaching art is reciprocal and inspiring for me—my artistic journey has grown alongside people of all ages while painting, drawing, sculpting, and inventing new techniques in the wild and idea-filled world of contemporary art. I enjoy teaching classical art and methods of image construction as well. I emphasize observation and intuition in image-making. I love working with people of all ages, and I am also interested in the interaction with animals in the artistic process. I am able to provide instruction in Finnish, English, and Spanish.
